Apartment613 is pleased to announce our latest project in a never-ending quest for world domination… Apartment613 Talks! We’re planning a series of lectures that will highlight themes and ideas that you’ve come to expect from Apartment613 – except we’ll be discussing them in real life (or IRL). For our first event on May 16 we’re taking on the creative capital.
How close are we to being a truly creative Capital? This panel brings together three of Ottawa’s top designers and leaders of Ottawa-based design firms to talk about their experiences leading companies that run on creativity. What does it take to succeed as a creative entrepreneur in Ottawa? Is Ottawa becoming a hub for creative ideas and energy? Could Ottawa be the place to launch your creative career?
Our panelists include:
- Ryan Anderson, owner of Northern Army and founder of the Social Media Breakfast
- Sara Roncarelli, owner of Fifty Creative
- Ian Rapsey, designer at the Greater Good
We’ve booked the Hub Ottawa at 71 Bank Street for the discussion on May 16. Doors will open at 7pm, with the conversation starting around 7:30. We’ll have a cash bar, so feel free to stick around for a drink.
We’re so happy to be working the folks at the Ottawa Creative Collective to plan this event. They are committed to making Ottawa a better place through great design and I think they are onto something interesting. We’ve been able to keep this event free thanks to support from the Awesome Ottawa Foundation, who are always looking for new ways to make Ottawa more awesome.

Thanks to Steve St. Pierre for the great visual.
