Last Thursday night, during a sold-out, star-studded show at the Bronson Centre Music Theatre, the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition announced the 2023 Capital Music Awards winners. This was the fourth edition of the awards and its biggest show yet, hosted by Twin Flames and featuring scorching live performances by Empress Nyiringango, Marie-Clo, City Fidelia, Mimi O’Bonsawin, and The Commotions with Rebecca Noelle. We mentioned last week that this blog was honoured with the Community Impact Award, but here is the list of top-notch Ottawa-Gatineau musicians who won awards on Thursday night. Congratulations to them all and the other worthy nominees!
