Winter Jazzfest is back this week, bringing an awesome mix of live music to downtown Ottawa. From Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, Arts Court will host 15 shows that dive into jazz, experimental sounds, and everything in between.

Things kick off Thursday with JUNO-winning vocalist Caity Gyorgy (it’s pronounced “George”) and the supergroup GEORGE, setting the vibe for a big weekend of shows. Whether you’re into bold improv, soul bossa nova, or genre-defying composers, the lineup has something to discover.

Expect a killer Quincy Jones tribute by The 33z, Cuban jazz wizard Hilario Duran, and a mind-blowing collab from Sarah Neufeld, Richard Reed Parry, and Rebecca Foon. From cozy club vibes to expansive soundscapes, the festival’s programming highlights jazz in all its evolving forms.

Tickets and festival passes are still available, but they won’t last long. Visit ottawajazzfestival.com for full lineup details and last-minute tickets. With small venues and a lineup packed with both local gems and big names, a lot of shows could sell out at the door.
