…because not everyone drinks coffee.

I really truly do enjoy the spicy Tazo chai they serve up. It’s got a nice zing that other chai lattes lack – try this one with soy milk, too. Super tasty. They’ve got a few alternative chais out there right now as well (such as an apple juice based one), but I’m all for the original. Why mess with a good thing?
2. Raw Sugar
692 Somerset W.
The only one I’ve found where they actually use loose tea and spices – the rest are all from a syrup. With a distinct pepper taste, this silky smooth chai, with a bit of honey, is delish. I think I may have actually said “Mmmmm….” out loud after having my first sip.

This chai has a lovely creamy texture, with just the right amount of foam. If you’re lucky, they’ll sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top for a bit of a sweet twist.
3. Umi Cafe
610 Somerset W.
Umi Cafe’s chai is, like the whole cafe, very mellow. Not spicy or overbearing, but pleasant on a cold winter day. Bonus: the music they’ve got playing is usually a great coffee shop choice.

And how was this one? Let’s just go with the answer my teenaged-self would have given my mom when she asked how my day was. “Good. Fine. That’s all, okay?”
