Most studios release their prestige films starting in September and ending the last week of December. Because of the peculiarities of film distribution, ordinary folk like us get to see a lot of these films from December through February. This year, it’s a bumper crop.
Welcome to 2024! The ByTowne and the Mayfair have programmed lots in January to help us achieve our resolutions of seeing more independent cinema.
