Night of the Living Dead

Most studios release their prestige films starting in September and ending the last week of December. Because of the peculiarities of film distribution, ordinary folk like us get to see a lot of these films from December through February. This year, it’s a bumper crop.

I don’t believe I’ve ever had so many films to recommend to Magic in the Dark readers—almost two dozen! It’s the spookiest month of the year, and cinemas are outdoing themselves with scary offerings.
