For live music lovers, the countdown to Ottawa Bluesfest is like the countdown to Christmas, and as the days tick down, the anticipation builds.

The Ottawa Children’s Festival takes place at LeBreton Flats Park from May 8–12, 2019.

Colin James closed out a simply amazing night of musical acts on the Blacksheep stage that fed the hungriest of rocking blues appetites.

Ottawa band leMeow has been making waves in the city for the last couple years with their catchy retro soul-meets-Motown sound that continues to capture hearts everywhere they go.

Saturday night at Bluesfest featured Colin James, leMeow, Elijah Wood x Jamie Fine, Jessie Reyez and more.

Friday night at Bluesfest saw a mix of country, blues and dubstep.

Local band The Town Cryers took to the Blacksheep Stage that was illuminated by the sizzling 6 o’clock sun, and stirred up the crowd with their brand of British punk meets good old fashioned, guitar-fuelled Rock ‘n Roll.

From the nestled grounds in front of Bluesfest’s Blacksheep stage to the top of the grassy hill, a massive crowd had gathered in anticipation of Canada’s orchestral rock ensemble, Lighthouse.

Jim Cuddy and the rest of Blue Rodeo headlined Thursday night at Bluesfest, which has become somewhat of a tradition at the annual festival.

The thrill of going to a Foo Fighters show went way beyond the music… it was liberating, interactive, entertaining, and always a celebration.

It was arena rock central of gargantuan proportions Tuesday night as every square inch of LeBreton Flats was covered in a sea of people stretched out as far as the eye could see. Under another perfect summer sky at Bluesfest, a young 4-piece Michigan band named Greta Van Fleet took us on an hour-long time warp back to the full throttle sounds of classic rock.
