There are so many great new films and iconic older films showing at the ByTowne and the Mayfair in the first half of October that I hardly know where to start. Last month, I wrote, “September must be biography month.” October is shaping up to rival September with six biographical films.
September is starting out with lots of new releases at the ByTowne and the Mayfair, as well as several film classics.
The ByTowne and the Mayfair have a bunch of dandy new films and a slew of film classics. Film reviewer Barbara Popel was particularly struck by how many superb actors you’ll have a chance to see!
What a selection to choose from! Both the ByTowne and the Mayfair are offering some dandy new films, including two genuinely unique flicks with lots of buzz, and a cornucopia of film classics.
Because I’ll be on vacation in July, I’m recommending a whole month’s worth of films at the ByTowne and the Mayfair. As usual, the ByTowne has published its entire schedule for the month, but I’m in the dark about most of Mayfair’s July offerings. Nevertheless, both offer a wide variety, including a slew of classics at the ByTowne and a bunch of new films.
