The final night of Bluesfest features a lineup of indie pop, hip hop, blues, the next generation of talented Ottawa artists, and a very intriguing finale—The Smile, a side project for Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood.

With an opening day in the middle of a heat wave, Mother Nature certainly put the ‘”hot” in “hot country night” yesterday. Shifting gears, Day 2’s main stage is all about rock, while the other stages have an eclectic mix of artists.

As the heat settles into the city this week, the summer is clearly in full swing, which means the largest music festival in town is kicking off today. Stephane Dubord previews the acts on stage at Day 1 of Bluesfest.
