“Where The Wild Things Are” by Sunday Riot Club // For fans of AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, and early Metallica, Ottawa’s Sunday Riot Club is a relatively new group (founded in 2017) with two singles released to date. Their new track “Where The Wild Things Are” comes with a live (maybe dubbed?) rock n’ roll music video. Watch on YouTube for the full experience of this power rock trio. [Website]
“friends / wasted” by maxime. // Apartment613 missed his initial album release (slept on it!) but thanks to an Ottawa Showbox interview, we just learned about the Ottawa songwriter and producer maxime. His record Cerulean is a solid hit on Spotify with over two million streams to-date. Over 14 tracks, maxime has a unique aesthetic and very focused sound, mostly arranged with drum machines, synth, guitar, and maxime’s low voice. We’ve selected one song for #ottmusic weekly, however the Cerulean album deserves a full listen. [Bandcamp]
