“Hold My Breath” by Lynne Hanson // Folk singer-songwriter Lynne Hanson has released a new single and music video called “Hold My Breath”, which is the first new music she’s released since February 2020. Co-written with guitarist Blair Michael Hogan, every part of this song was recorded during lockdown and drums were added by Ottawa legend-in-the-making Phil Shaw Bova, who also mixed and mastered the track. Hanson was on tour in Europe when COVID-19 shut everything down in March 2020. It would be almost a year before she started writing again, and although “Hold My Breath” isn’t specifically a “pandemic song”, it’s certainly coming from a place we’ve all been since March 2020, yearning for friendship, connection, and wanting the world to be a better place.
