The Life Under the Gun tour was on its eighth consecutive night, but there was no slowing down as the band took to the stage. Militarie Gun unleashed a relentless barrage of ferocious riffs and pounding drums that had the crowd wanting to invade the stage with them. Ian Shelton’s raw vocals cut through the chaos with razor-sharp precision, delivering lyrics that were as poignant as they were powerful. Getting nods from the likes of Coachella and other major festivals this year, the group are one to watch and you can expect to be hearing the name Militarie Gun a lot more.
Pool Kids’ seamless chemistry drew the crowd into their sonic world from the very first note, trading tapping guitar leads between each other throughout the set. Vocalist Christine Goodwyne’s ethereal voice floated effortlessly over the intricate guitar melodies before crashing into an all-out frenzy that had fans bouncing off each other. Their setlist was a perfect balance of introspective ballads and high-energy anthems, showcasing Pool Kids’ versatility.
San Francisco’s Spiritual Cramp were second up to stage, where lead singer Michael Bingham’s captivating presence and powerful vocals commanded attention, while the band’s tight instrumentation delivered a punchy, adrenaline-fueled sound.
Buffalo’s Spaced kicked things off with the heaviest set of the night, as their classic hardcore sound had the two-stepping out in full force.
