Capital Music Week continued yesterday with a free all-ages concert at the Bronson Centre Music Theatre, showcasing even more local talent with artists Emma Lamontagne, Akeem Oh and headliner Elijah Woods.
Starting the night out was Emma Lamontagne’s short but sweet set of fun pop songs, which appealed to the predominantly young female crowd.
Next was Akeem Oh, whose indie-pop stylings and instantly likeable personality had the audience’s rapt attention throughout his set.
Headliner Elijah Woods has been making big waves on the international music scene, taking his Give Me The Sunlight! tour throughout Asia over the next few months. And he certainly had homegrown local appeal as well, as the crowd squealed in delight when he took the stage, delivering a set of his pop hits, with a stage show with flashy complementary video effects and retrospective childhood videos.
It was another great night of music, celebrating the Ottawa music scene and depth of talent we have to offer.
