D12’s 20th-anniversary tour of D12 World brought an electric energy to the Bronson Centre on Thursday night. The group, known for their dynamic stage presence, did not disappoint as they delivered a performance that had the crowd bobbing their heads from start to finish. The group paid homage to Eminem’s absence, getting the crowd to cover his verses in a karaoke-like fashion. Hits like “Purple Pills” and “Fight Music” ignited the venue with nostalgia, reminding fans why D12 remains a force in hip-hop over two decades later. Also on stage was Jake Bass, guitarist and son of one of the Bass Brothers, who produced classic riffs such as those heard in “Lose Yourself” by Eminem and several D12 tracks.

It wasn’t the only 20th anniversary on the night, as Obie Trice was also celebrating his album Cheers. From his classic hits like “Got Some Teeth” to newer tracks, each song was delivered with passion, showcasing Trice’s evolution over the years.

There were a ton of local openers to kick things off, featuring This is Affy, Nayef, Rikashay & Anka, Mista Jones, and Raw B Robertson & B Trendin’.
