Taylor Howarth

Executive Director (2024)

Originally from the GTA, Taylor’s been calling Ottawa home for 15 years. She brings many years of experience within the philanthropic sector to Apt613, whom she hopes to repay for making her much cooler than she otherwise would be due to its stellar weekend must-see roundup, Quoi Faire. Taylor is also the founder and CEO of a small consultancy business, Eros & Logos, and is thinking that might come in handy too.

Gamer Education: Diablo II

I was encouraged to give Diablo II (2000) a try when the remaster came out back in the fall. So, I didn’t play the original. Instead, I played Diablo II: Resurrected (2021). I mean, technically it is the same game, I just played it with very sick graphics. Graphics or not, this is a serious mind-off game that is visually appealing and dark as hell.

Gamer Education: Half-Life

While Valve’s Half-Life (1998) was certainly a distinct gaming experience, Taylor Howarth also explains why it was the most stressful in the latest instalment of her Gamer Education series.

Gamer Education: Daikatana

Ottawa local Taylor Howarth turned to PC gaming last spring during the pandemic, and is playing through a number of classics in what she dubs her Gamer Education. Her review of Daikatana (2000) is the third instalment in this series.

Gamer Education: Doom

Ottawa local Taylor Howarth turned to PC gaming last spring during the pandemic, and is playing through a number of classics in what she dubs her Gamer Education. Her review of Doom (1993) is the second instalment in this series.
