This week on Apartment613 Live, Ryan Saxby-Hill and Trevor Pritchard reunite to co-host the show and celebrate International Women’s Day. Ryan and Trevor show their appreciation for the women in their lives and celebrate by bringing in some fantastic women to talk about everything from beer to music and local trivia.
Do you love beer enough to put it in your salad? Turns out it’s possible and delicious. Ryan chats with Caroline Isshi from Zen Kitchen to talk about their upcoming beer-paring dinner with local-brewery Broadhead Beer. If you can’t make it out to the event, they discuss how to match one of Ottawa’s great local brews to a delicious home-cooked meal.
Megan Bocking drops in from the Bytowne Museum to give Trevor and Ryan a quiz to lead up to the Irish Society’s St. Patty’s Day trivia event. Play along to see how much you know about Ottawa and gauge your chances for the trivia night next Sunday at D’Arcy McGee’s.
Trevor plays a variety of music, including some local acts who are going to be playing Zaphod’s as it celebrates its 20 year anniversary. Music expert Emma Godmere stops in to chat local music, reminisce about shows and talk about the importance of Zaphod’s in Ottawa’s music scene.
