The “Cali to Canada” tour brought Snoop Dogg’s West Coast aura to the Canadian Tire Centre. The lights dimmed and Snoop emerged, arriving in style in a car clouded in smoke. Kicking things off with “The Next Episode” and “Nuthin but a G Thang,” Snoop had the whole crowd vibe to the Long Beach sound. Backed by several guest artists, such as The Dogg Pound and Lady of Rage throughout the set, Snoop delivered hit after hit.
Opening for Snoop was none other than the regulator himself, Warren G. The G Funk era was on full display on Tuesday night, with tributes to legends like Nate Dogg throughout the set. Compton’s DJ Quik brought the beats and hip-hop history to the early crowd. Vancouver’s Merkules opened the night, taking a break to talk about his full circle moment, attending a Snoop tour 20 years prior and is now opening for him.
