The Bronson Theatre played host to Pop Evil on Thursday night, as part of their Skeletons Tour that has been making the rounds throughout North America for the past year. The venue was buzzing with excitement as fans eagerly lined up early outside.
Pop Evil kicked off their set with a strong mix of their classic hits and tracks from their latest album, Skeletons. From the moment they hit the stage, the band’s energy and talent had the crowd pumping their fists and singing along to each hook.
While the band may have started in Michigan all the way back in 2001, lead singer Leigh Kakaty actually grew up in Kingston, Ontario, and took time to share about looking forward to coming back to Canada on each tour.
Highlights of the evening included crowd favourites like “Trenches,” “Waking Lions,” and “Footsteps,” which had the entire venue rocking in unison. The band brought in quite the stage setup, with multiple levels and intricate lighting.
Opening the night was Kitchener-Waterloo’s Sierra Pilot, who were not shy to kick off the night, delivering a tight set with plenty of heavy riffs and big choruses.
