This March, Apt613 launched 613U as a new online forum where Apt613 contributors, Ottawa’s bloggers or anyone interested in digital media can pick up a new skill or two. We’ll be supplementing our online “courses” with in-person workshops over the next few months.
For our first workshop, Apt613 co-founder and editor Katrina Marsh will take you through three tools in your blogging toolkit: maps, polls, quizzes and slideshows.
The 90-minute session will cover:
- When should bloggers consider using maps, polls, quizzes or slideshows?
- Some examples for how to use these tools.
- An introduction to some easy-to-use apps to get you started on your own project.
RSVP: The workshop is free. Bring your laptop or tablet to practice your new skill right in the classroom.
The Blogger’s Toolkit workshop is happening on Thursday June 1, 2017 from 7–8:30pm at Impact Hub Ottawa (123 Slater Street). Registration is free with RSVP.
