Happy weekend, Ottawans! Lots to take in around town this weekend, starting with Ottawa Asian Fest’s Night Market Chinatown. Running all weekend, the Night Market features food vendors, Bar Robo’s Night Market Beergarden, and Karaoke Nights.

Kicking off the illustrative Saturday list, Ecoequitable throws a mega fabric sale on Saturday morning.

Can’t get enough textiles? Fibrefest 2016 runs Saturday and Sunday at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum in Mississippi Mills.

In the market for handmade goods? Capital Pop Up! Handmade Show’s Fall edition takes over the Glebe Community Centre on Saturday. Featuring handmade talent from Ottawa and surrounding areas, the show will also raise funds for the Wild Bird Care Centre.

Feeling green? Ottawa PlantFest hosts a free plant swap.

Bugging out? Pick your champion in the cockroach races and take an insect expedition at the Ottawa Experimental Farm’s Bug Day.

Elsewhere, Beechwood hosts its first annual East Feast, an event showcasing local businesses, artists and performers.
