Note: we had incorrectly tagged the NAC’s Summer Indigenous Art Market as happening on Saturday… but it’s Sunday! Enjoy!
While this weekend’s weather looks questionable, that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying one (or many!) of this weekend’s events. A few are outdoors—be sure to confirm they’re still on before pulling on your rain boots—but many are indoors.
Rain or shine, head over to Central Park in the Glebe Saturday and Sunday for the New Art Festival. Family- and pet-friendly, the outdoor festival features 150 artists, local food, entertainment, and free admission.
Italian Week Ottawa runs from June 9-19. While the Grand Finale weekend is next weekend (mark your calendars!), there are activities taking place throughout Little Italy this weekend and next week. All the details are available in the 2022 Program Booklet.

Although tonight’s ByWard Bops (a collaboration with the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition) has been postponed due to the weather, the evening market will be open from 5–9pm. And although not technically the weekend, don’t forget that the Parkdale Night Market has returned for the second year on Wednesdays from 5–9pm.

A limited number of free tickets are available for you to break out your dancing shoes and boogie the night away!
Arts Court is hosting a 12 hour extravaganza Open House Party from 2pm–2am. The building at 2 Daly Avenue will be animated inside and out with performances, visual and media arts, workshops, and an art market. Don’t miss Pique’s first-ever Art Market to shop for hand-made artwork, prints, publications and wearables by the local artisans and creators.
Visiting Lansdowne this weekend? 613flea is on Saturday from 10am–4pm.
The National Arts Centre is once again hosting the Indigenous Art Market in-person, featuring diverse and amazing work of Métis, Inuit and First Nations makers. Learn more about the Market in our post here. The Market is one of many events taking place during National Indigenous History Month at the NAC.
Wasn’t Saturday enough?! While we’re thin on events this Sunday, that shouldn’t stop you from taking a stroll for some garden inspo, checking out Apt613’s Community Poetry Chapbook, or digging into the latest edition of #ottmusic weekly.
