Local noise rockers Roberta Bondar released the official video for Night Danger yesterday. Featuring Lidija Rozitis, Alex Maltby, Tyler Ivan Goodman and Gary Franks, the video is a collaborative project between Travis Boisvenue (from Modulo) and Arturo Brisindi, who performed the visual manipulation using a modular video synthesizer.
The video made its début on Sunday at Pressed, which went well, according to Boisvenue. “I’ve watched the video about 100 times now, so it’s hard for me to really ‘see’ it anymore,” he wrote in an email yesterday. “It was nice to finally watch it with a group of people and get feedback. And by get feedback I mean shamelessly accept congratulations.”
“All of the video manipulation was performed live by Arturo on a modular video synth, and people shouldn’t underestimate just how much of a performance that is in its own. The song was recorded live that day, so the video was [of] a lot of talented people nailing it at the same time.”
Roberta Bondar plays in Ottawa on March 22 with WTCHS & Couples at Café Alt.
