The first thing you’ll notice about Asuquomo’s new music video, uploaded to YouTube last weekend, is the uncommon super wide resolution. Throw this into full-screen view for the full cinematic effect.
The initial filming of “Feel at Home” took place at the start of March 2020 during Asuquomo’s artist residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, and was cut short due to the first COVID-19 lockdown.
“Listen, I live in Ottawa… the scenery is not comparable!” says Asuquomo aka Morris Ogbuwu. “We were unable to finish the filming.” So he decided to leave make something new out of footage.
The official video sees Asuquomo alone among the frigid elements of the Rocky Mountains, “exploring with solitude in the new normal,” set against Banff’s natural, unaltered scenery as a backdrop.
