Gala send-off for NAC’s departing CEO Peter Herrndorf raises more than $1 million for Indigenous Theatre
Some 400 people inaugurated the National Arts Centre’s new Canada Room reception hall Thursday night with a star-studded retirement party for long-time President and CEO Peter Herrndorf.
Canada’s true testament to our performing arts, the National Arts Centre, opened its doors on Canada Day to reveal the completion of Phase I of its $114.9 million Architectural Rejuvenation Project. It is the first large-scaled renovation done of its kind on the building since its original construction in 1969.
The 2017–18 National Arts Centre season is an exciting lineup of dance, theatre, and music, and will feature the NAC’s new performance spaces being unveiled this year.
