Weekend Roundup: Quoi faire?

There is no denying it any longer, winter has arrived in all of its snowy white splendor, but so has the weekend – and this one is jam packed with greatness, giving us every reason not to slip into hibernation just yet.

World Press Photo 2016 : L’éveilleur de conscience

Weekend Roundup: What to do?

After last weekend’s heat wave, I think it’s safe to say summer has arrived in our fair city. And with it comes a slew of festivals and other fun events. Enjoy! One of my favourite events takes place this weekend: Doors Open Ottawa gives you the chance to take a look inside some of the […]

Weekend Roundup: What to do this weekend?

Raise a Glass to California and try some Californian wines Friday night at the Westin. If beer is more your thing, stop by Brothers […]

FET.NAT release new EP today, debut fresh sound

It’s been almost two years since we’ve heard new recordings from Fet.Nat, a band that has cut itself a niche in Gatineau’s music scene with its raw, experimental, jammy sound. Poule Mange Poule, the band’s last album, was characterized by a mix of rock drums, echo-pedaled guitar, brass, and strange, off-kilter sounds. It showed the […]

Weekend Roundup: Quoi faire ce weekend?

The manic pixie dream billboard of Justin Trudeau and Barack Obama hugging in Sandy Hill (thanks CBC!) just might have brought sunlight back to Ottawa. We may not have state dinners, but we are beaming with endless arts and culture festivals, shows, and outdoor adventures. Sunny ways are back, baby! Versefest, Ottawa’s international poetry festival, […]
