The end of August is upon us. It may not seem like it, with the blazing hot weather we’ve been having, but summer is winding down. Thankfully, there is plenty to do this weekend – whether in person or virtually – to help you make the most of one of the last weekends of the season.
March’s Awesome Ottawa award goes to Don Kwan and John Cameron to support the distribution of a free drag queen colouring book featuring Ottawa’s very own China Doll.
This weekend marks the end of the year’s shortest month, which has managed to feel like the longest. We’ve almost come full circle, as we approach a full year in this weird pandemic world. With restrictions eased, there are in person events on the docket this weekend, complemented by a variety of online events if you aren’t yet ready to get back out there. Without further ado, here’s the lowdown on what’s up this weekend in Ottawa.

This late into December, weekend outings in Ottawa will inevitably involve some measure of holiday-themed craft shows. And while this week’s Weekend Roundup is certainly full of cheer, I hope there’s a little bit for everyone, Grinch and otherwise. Oh yeah, and there’s some hockey stuff going on.

Remixed is a festival celebrating local culture in the Somerset West area. On September 16 they’ll be closing Somerset between Bay and Percy to provide a day’s worth of free activities.
