The screening marks the first “Stories” themed event from Women of Architecture!, a local community organization whose goal is to promote the achievements of Women contributing to the built environment in the National Capital Region.

For decades, the Ottawa International Animation Festival has attracted film and animation buffs, art lovers and filmmakers from around the globe. You won’t want to miss this year’s exciting line-up of screenings, workshops, panels and parties.

We talk about the new documentary Tickling Giants (playing June 7th at the ByTowne Cinema, a presentation of One World Film Festival) and about the importance of satire in defending freedoms.
Known as the “Egyptian Jon Stewart,” Bassem Youssef started his own Daily Show-style YouTube show, which he filmed from his basement laundry room. It became very popular, very quickly. This Wednesday June 7, ByTowne Cinema will screen Tickling Giants, a documentary film about Al Bernameg – the most popular political satire show in the Middle East.
