Breweries are amazing community partners. Yet even among that esteemed company, Beau’s All Natural Brewery has been setting the standard for more than a decade. On May 18, they were recognized by United Way Ottawa, winning this Community Builder Award. It’s really the perfect award for a company that has always paid it forward the support they have received from their hometown of Vankleek Hill, their greater Ottawa community and the brewing industry.

A couple weeks back, they released early bird tickets for the popular Beau’s Oktoberfest party. Not pausing for a breath, they have a Father’s Day Weekend event (June 16-17th: don’t […]
It was a hole in the wall with the worst selection in the city, and when they closed it no one complained, which may just be a first for a store of its type. I speak, of course, of the old Rideau Centre LCBO, the late and completely unlamented bottle shop that may have saved […]
“Our philosophy: no racism; no aggression; no gender bias; entertain and enlighten; no attitude or pretensions; fair prices and fair measures; a musical and social alternative; friendly staff and fast courteous service; respecting our audience and gaining their respect; all our guests, especially women, should feel comfortable and safe here.” Ottawa’s live music landmark, Zaphod […]
To the surprise of no one, the Beau’s Brewery St. Patrick’s Day event at the Aberdeen Pavilion was a roaring success that left those on the outside green (!) with envy. Much like the enjoyable Oktoberfest party thrown by Beau’s every year in Vankleek Hill, the event featured delectable food, great live music, a friendly atmosphere and […]
