Summer Nights: Cinema and music under the stars at Club SAW—until Aug. 28

By Apartment613 on August 7, 2021

SAW invites music fans and film lovers to congregate under the stars for a special edition of Summer Nights, a summer festival like no other. In anticipation of the reopening of its live music venue, SAW is pleased to present a program of music-themed films about pioneering music scenes and musical figures, along with music with live bands and DJs in the SAW outdoor courtyard.

The festival will take place over four weekends from August 5 to 28, 2021. Screenings and performances will be presented every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5pm to midnight, with a cash bar and snacks available for purchase. The major solo exhibition Shaya Ishaq: Library of Infinities will be on view at SAW during Summer Nights and will be open to the public every evening until midnight.

There’s free admission from 5pm to 9pm, and tickets are $5 from 9pm until midnight. One hundred per cent of ticket sales will go to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society. Visit saw-centre.com for tickets. In case of rain, events will be held in Club SAW. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
