Amanda is struggling to get over her ex, Gail, when she runs into her in the hallway and finds out Gail’s moved on. In a moment of weakness, Amanda mentions that she’s also dating someone new… Stevie Nicks. When her best friend, ride-or-die Brian, comes over that afternoon, she desperately begs him to pretend to be Stevie for the double date she accidentally talked herself into. Somehow she convinces Brian to do it and when the date starts, it seems like it might actually work! Will they pull it off or will the night go up in smoke?

The original show by Nat Habib stars Gabrielle Houle, Harley Wegner, Douglas Newham, Rose Kabbouchi, Cierra Browne, Jenna McNamara, and Hayley Dennis, and tells the story of love and friendship. Working within the virtual atmosphere, the production plays with different shot styles, angles and extra graphic features. It’s almost hard to believe these six actors are not all in the same room.

A classic comedy of errors, wackiness is behind every corner. Whether you’re a Stevie Nicks fan who will pick up on subtly hidden Easter eggs or just an average viewer, you’re bound to find yourself letting out a few unexpected laughs over the show’s 35-minute run.

Stevie Nicks is My Girlfriend is a fun and light-hearted show (with an underlying darkness) that was the perfect wrap-up to the first night of the 2021 Youth Infringement Festival.

The Ottawa Youth Infringement Festival takes place from May 6–9. Stevie Nicks is My Girlfriend runs 30 minutes with its next and final performance on May 8 at 7pm. Tickets are pay-what-you-choose starting at $5.
