Nour Hadidi is a comic hailing from Jordan who now calls Toronto home. She brings a unique perspective to the stage that range from her upbringing in Jordan to her experiences in Canada. Now based out of Toronto, she’s performed at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, CBC’s Laugh Out Loud, and The Debaters, as well as Sirius XM Canada laughs. She’s also a staff writer at This Hour has 22 Minutes, and also written for The Beaverton on the Comedy Network.
You can catch her in Ottawa on Monday December 31st, at 8pm as part of a trio of comics performing at the 8th Annual New Year’s Eve Comedy Night at the Shenkman Arts Centre. Ahead of her performance, I got the chance to sit down with her and talk about life, comedy, and what’s next for her.
Hadidi has also performed at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal in 2017 and 2018, as part of the Tiffany Haddish Gala and Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, the Memphis Comedy Festival, Calgary’s Sled Island, Bonton Women in Comedy Festival, and Sirius XM Top Comic. Yet somehow, she still finds time to host the monthly show So Fresh’ n’ So Clean at the Comedy Bar on the first Friday of every month.
