If you’re looking for a little tranquility within the city, Fletcher Wildlife Garden at 865 Prince of Wales Drive has just that. Surrounded by wildlife, florals, and nature trails, this Ottawa garden has it all.
The Garden is maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers. “We are experiencing an unusually large number of visitors this summer,” says Edward Farnworth. “Some need to be reminded about social distancing, particularly when talking to a volunteer… Dogs on a leash are welcome… When visiting, keep your eyes open. The biodiversity in this small oasis in the city is amazing.”
This is the third in a series of photo galleries that Ottawa photographer Kelly McDonald is creating for Apt613 this summer to showcase the beautiful public gardens around our city. Get inspired, get out there and enjoy the beauty our city has to offer in this brief season!
