Improv Festival brings local and cross-continent comedians to Arts Court—02.27.20 to 02.29.20

By Greggory Clark on February 25, 2020

Indie improv comedy troupes are meeting at Arts Court for the 2020 Ottawa Improv Festival. The farthest travelling group is Florida’s Impromptu, who will link up with artists from Ottawa, Toronto, Guelph, Montreal and Boston for the festival which runs from February 27–29, 2020.

Depending on the night, you’ll see a mix of improv styles, long-form narratives and rapid-fire theatre games alike. The headliners perform in a big show on Saturday night, and Saturday morning/afternoon there are workshops open for anyone who wants to learn new improv skills.

The fifth annual event features Apt613 faves A Little Awkward and Quest Friends Forever, Toronto’s Kinsey Fail, plus a host of emerging acts and visitors we’ll discover this weekend.
