Are you a writer or a photographer? A developer or a video editor? Help us uncover Ottawa.
Apt613 is hosting an open house on October 7th to meet, introduce, brainstorm, and collaborate with volunteers—both new and returning. Whether you’re a long-time reader curious about contributing, a foodie or theatre buff itching to share your reviews, a journalism student wanting to get involved, or just someone who is stoked about this city, we want you to help us uncover Ottawa.
What: Apt613 Open House
When: Monday, October 7th, 7–9pm
Where: The Loop @ SAW Video Media Art Centre (Inside Arts Court, 2 Daly Avenue)
Committed to connecting people to their neighbourhoods, Apartment613 Community Initiatives is a not-for-profit organization driven by volunteers. Our main activity is apt613.ca, an award-winning hyperlocal blog focused on sharing the best of Ottawa’s arts and culture. The site is a place where we can learn and talk about new and exciting people, places, and goings on. While others spend energy trying to convince the world that Ottawa isn’t boring, we say it has already turned the corner. Our writers, photographers, and filmmakers volunteer their time and talents to help spread the word about stories and events happening around the capital.
If you’d like to help, get a free ticket with an RSVP and say “hi” at the Open House. Light food and complimentary beverages will be served. Special thanks to our community partners at Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co. and SAW Video.
