Lido Pimienta, Jim Bryson and A Tribe Called Red are on the bill with a new generation of artists making waves from coast to coast to coast.
Billed as a nation(s)wide tour, New Constellations is some of Canada’s most celebrated musicians collaborating with emerging artists to promote diversity, inclusivity and accessibility.
The show features Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists performing together and the stacked Ottawa lineup includes Shad, Jim Bryson, Lido Pimienta, A Tribe Called Red, Leonard Sumner, Jeremy Dutcher, Leanne Betasamosake Simpson, and STARS.
Toronto musician Jason Collett helped organize the ambitious 13-city tour involving concerts and workshops. He and 50+ artists and crew will cover more than 6,000 kilometres by bus.
Their tour started on November 23 in Saskatoon and will conclude on December 20 in Toronto.
New Constellations Music & Art Tour is playing the Bronson Centre Theatre (211 Bronson Ave) on Saturday December 9. Doors 7:30pm. Tickets cost $25 online.
