Netflix invites submissions from Ottawa-based and Canadian creators

From mid-July until Wednesday, August 6, Netflix is accepting pitches from Ottawa-based and Canadian creators. From these submissions, Netflix will invite a handful of creators to virtually meet with producers on their content team.

If you have a brilliant idea for a film or series, click here for the virtual pitch rules and requirements. In addition to your project proposal,  you’ll need to provide a short synopsis of your existing work (one page maximum) and sign a submission release agreement provided by Netflix.

Their call details genres and the types of projects Netflix is looking for:

  • Nonfiction Series
  • Original Animation
  • Original Series
  • Original Independent Film

Pay careful attention to the guidelines for each category, as the submission requirements vary. Creators can submit no more than one project per category, with a maximum of two projects total.
