National Capital Commission kicks off new season of free Urbanism Lab lecture series

The National Capital Commission has announced season five of the Urbanism Lab lecture series. The free lecture series is an opportunity for the public to come together with NCC staff and invited panelists to discuss urbanism, design, sustainability, heritage and conservation to collectively the future of Canada’s Capital Region. You can attend in person at 40 Elgin Street or watch a livestream on YouTube. The lecture series is free to attend but due to space limitations, advanced registration is required.

The 2018-2019 season will explore the following themes:

  • September 25, 2018 Walk This Way: Designing a Pedestrian Paradise
  • October 30, 2018 Gardens and Healthy Cities
  • November 20, 2018 Beyond Green Buildings
  • December 13, 2018 The City and the Brain
  • January 2019 Metropolitan Governance and Big Data
  • February 2019 Breathing New Life Into Old Buildings
  • March 2019 From Digital Pathways to Urban Spaces
  • April 2019 Fantastic Trees and Where to Find Them
  • May 2019 Living, Breathing Walls
  • June 2019 National Indigenous Day
