Live stream on YouTube: Weekdays at 12pm EST
Back in the early days of the COVID-19 crisis in Ottawa, the National Arts Centre Orchestra started a series of “NACO Lunch Break” concerts as a way to stay connected with musicians in isolation. The series takes you into the homes of NACO members (and guest musicians) for casual performances of their favourite works.
After presenting a daily performance every weekday at noon since mid-March, the series took a short break for the holidays. Today, they’re back with a new lineup of CBC Radio’s Top 30 under 30 classical artists.
These are delightful snippets of music to brighten your day! And because they’re available afterwards as stream-on-demand programming, you can access them free anytime.
In today’s Lunch Break, the NACO features Midori Marsh, a soprano from Toronto, Ontario. Marsh has chosen to perform “Deh vieni” from Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro.
