LIFT Restaurant, at 101 Lyon Street, will be hosting a “True Canadian Experience” this week to showcase local culinary delights and local arts and culture.
The innovative event is taking place January 27 – 29 and promises to excite all the senses. Executive Chef of Delta Ottawa City Centre Jason Duffy will be creating delicious plates representing Ontario, while guest chefs from other Marriots and Delta will be representing their Canadian territories.
The menu includes tasting stations highlighting flavours from the Maritimes, Quebec, the Prairies and Ontario. The high-end fare spans from Alberta Bison Carpaccio to New Brunswick snow crab cakes plus includes classics like Sugar shack Québec style with maple taffy on snow. Admission to this Canadian foodie experience is $49.95+tax for the evening and runs 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a two-hour beer and wine tasting. Find tickets here.
Signature cocktails and wine, by Small Wine Makers, will be available. And of course, you can’t have a Canadian experience without beer. Brewery stations will be stocked by Mill Street, Amsterdam, Flying Monkeys and Beau’s.
Plaid is encouraged but not required as the dress-code is “Smart Casual”. Local art and music will provide the best Canadian atmosphere as your palate travels the TransCanada.
