Known for their dreamy synth pop and layered vocal harmonies, Ottawa’s critically-acclaimed group were a national finalist in CBC’s Searchlight competition. Their song “Fault Lines” about gender-based violence made it to the top 4 in CBC’s talent search for Canada’s Best New Artist.
The local dream-pop band has three records (with one upcoming in 2019), once collaborated with Canadian media artist Timothy I. Smith to compose an original soundtrack of instrumentals, and has one of the best Shot In The Dark sessions found on YouTube:
You can join us for Scary Bear’s set at the Apt613 Screening Party, an entertaining night of new films and videos from the Apt613 filmmaking community. This program includes our best of 2018, fresh episodes, hilarious bloopers, and the premiere of an all-new series.

613TV’s resident beatmaker fivepee is selecting music and the first of two screenings will follow Scary Bear Soundtrack—Friday is also when Apartment613 will premiere the live music series shot at the Innovation Pod this fall.
