Narcy (aka Yassin Alsalman) is a musician and multimedia artist based out of Montreal. He’s one of the original pioneers of the hip-hop scene in Montreal and the Arab World. He once went by the name The Narcicyst, where he won the Much Music Video Award Video of the Year for his directorial debut with the indigenous electronic group A Tribe Called Red and featured Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def). He’s earned a Juno Award Nomination for Best Music Video in 2017 and used it as a launching point to direct many visuals for Talib Kweli, Anderson .Paak and Jay Electronica.

He’s currently involved with various projects with his partner Sundus Abdul Hadi at WeAreTheMedium, which is an international transmedia and culture consultation collective that’s headquartered in Montreal. His latest album Spacetime was released in last November and he’s going to be in town on February 15 performing at Queen St. Fare (170 Queen Street).
