Crown Lands: This explosive duo takes rock back to its roots. Showing heavy influences from 70s classic rock and more recent bands such as Wolfmother, Crown Lands encapsulate catchy hooks with memorable riffs. With only a guitar and drums, Cody Bowles and Kevin Comeau shine bright in what is sure to be one of the most energetic shows of the festival.

Friday, June 22

  • Broken Social Scene 9:30PM
  • Dizzy 8:15PM
  • Ellevator 7:10PM
  • Gianna Lauren 6:05PM

Dizzy: This Oshawa four-piece band lead by vocalist Katie Munshaw plus three brothers Charlie, Alex, and Mackenzie are one not to be slept on. Soaring synths, echoing melodies and tight musicianship creates music reminiscent of bands such as CHVRCHES that will leave you in a trance.

  • Wintersleep 9:30PM
  • Hollerado 7:45PM
  • Fast Romantics 6:30PM
  • Rebelle 5:25PM
  • Old Man Grant 4:20PM

Fast Romantics: Alberta indie-pop rock group Fast Romantics will be part of a stacked Saturday night lineup. The last time the group was in Ottawa they opened for Said The Whale at the Bronson Centre, and had the crowd off their feet dancing. Although the group has been around since 2009, with different changes in members throughout the years they’ve only began to scratch the surface as a band, and are an emerging force in Canadian music.

  • Matt Mays 8:30PM
  • Birds of Bellwoods 7:15PM
  • Midnight Vesta 6:10PM
  • Rory Taillon 5:05PM
  • Craig Cardiff 4:00PM

Matt Mays is a staple of the east coast rock scene, with over 20 years of history in the music industry. With a JUNO award and multiple ECMAs to his name, Matt continues to elevate his music, both in studio and ive. His performance to close out the festival will be no different, so be sure to catch him along with many other up and coming artists.

The 25th annual Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival is happening at Mooney’s Bay Park this weekend. There’s a free concert series every day from June 21–24, 2018. Visit for more information.
