It was a day full of classics on Saturday, with a world premiere snuck in there too. Johnny Gandelsman performed Bach’s cello solos—on the violin!—and Duo Octavian presented piano pieces by Stravinsky, Jean-Phillipe Rameau, and Debussy, plus the world premiere of Kelly-Marie Murphy’s “Dr. Blue’s Rapidly Deployable Escape Ladder.”
Later in the evening, Chamberfest attendees caught the always-popular Canadian Brass, and the buzzy world-music–inspired Moskitto Bar.
