Fringe Review: How to Be a Gentleman

William Beddoe and Robin Hodge have an incredible chemistry that reminds us of a modern-day Thelma and Louise. This brilliantly directed play had a simple set that was accentuated by a great lighting display. There were many extremely funny and witty parts exploring the topics of chivalry and gentlemanly conduct over time. How much chivalry has been actually transferred over time and where does it end?

A great little narrative of Conservatives versus Liberals is woven in to a very quick moving plot where the characters are developed by incredibly fun acting and great facial expressions. We start at the scene of William’s struggling TV show about manners and how to be chivalrous where the producers are on him to get higher ratings. His brilliant plan includes going back to his “hick” place of growing up to see if he can finish off where his parents have started, hilarity and a possible viral video ensue. I would highly recommend. 4/5 value Fringe stars!
