Foodies & home décor enthusiasts: Get your culinary fix at Pot & Pantry!

By Jenny C. Liu on November 21, 2016

A new kitchenware and gourmet food store officially opened its doors last week – just in time for peak Christmas shopping season!

Pot & Pantry at the corner of Elgin and Cooper Street is a cozy store that is both contemporary and vintage in style. It is packed with locally and Canadian-sourced products that are guaranteed to give your kitchen and general home décor that extra zing. Store owner Robin Coull sees the store as “a reflection of something [she’s] always loved – the comfort of food and home.”

Some of my favourite products include their unique cookware (fondue sets, woks and tagines), utensils (handmade mugs and artisanal wooden spoons) and many other handy kitchen gadgets (all the spiralizers!).

There is also an extensive cocktail, coffee, and tea section – a must-see for beverage lovers everywhere. Products include French presses and cocktail shakers, plus flavoured syrups (Lavender! Hibiscus!) from Cahoots (Vancouver, BC), bitters from Dillon’s (Beamsville, Ontario) and more.

The specialty food section in the back of the store features products from local makers including Top Shelf Preserves, Lowertown Canning Company, Buchipop (a fermented tea soda available in the store’s adorable mini-fridge), and Alicja’s Confections. Nestled beside all the goodies are Blackett & Co.’s small batch candles.

As we gear up for Christmas shopping, make sure to drop by Pot & Pantry to peruse beautiful gifts and stocking stuffer ideas from local and Canadian artisans. In addition, keep your eyes open for after-work classes and other events to come at the store in the new year!

You can find Pot & Pantry at 244 Elgin Street, and online via their website, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
