Hacking the Future of Government Through AI, Robotic and Cognitive Automation

April 17 @ 4:00 pm7:30 pm

The National Capital Region (NCR) chapter of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) presents:

Hacking the Future of Government Through AI, Robotic and Cognitive Automation

AI, robotic and cognitive automation has quietly matured over the last decade. As the Government of Canada continues to experiment and adopt these technologies, there is an opportunity to explore how automation can help to tackle complex budget, labour and workload constraints affecting today’s public servants. Building robotic and cognitive automation capabilities can empower the public service to transition from data gathering – pulling, plugging, manipulating, and calculating information – to data users – basing decisions on insights drawn from data.

The NCR chapter of IPAC, in partnership with Deloitte, invite you to an evening of exploring how automation technologies can enhance the Canadian public sector, the leadership required and empowering public servants to embrace change. This is the second event of a joint series in 2019.

  • A dynamic and distinguished panel featuring:
    o Marc Brouillard, Chief Technology Officer, Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat;
    o Julie Leese, Chief Digital Officer, Transport Canada; and
    o Sandy Kyriakatos, Chief Data Officer, Employment and Social Development Canada
  • An interactive Workshop hosted by Omnia to equip you with tools to drive discussions with colleagues and employees around the exploration of automation opportunities that would enhance the public sector
