Great Canadian Kilt Skate

January 26 @ 11:00 am1:00 pm

Free

The perfect event to nurture your inner Scot! Come to a skating party with a spirit of Scottish fun and fortitude wearing tartans and kilts.  And yes, people do wear their kilts! And skate!  The Kilt Skate was started in Ottawa, and the phenomenon is spreading and now includes North Glengarry, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Calgary, Saskatoon, and even New York City! The Great Canadian Kilt Skate is sponsored by the Scottish Government, and the SSO administers the grants to the other skates – not NYC

The Great Canadian Kilt Skate is indelibly Scottish and undeniably Canadian. It speaks to the Scottish contribution to Canada’s multicultural heritage.  All are welcome, even without a kilt! There will be hot chocolate and cake.
