This Saturday March 9th, Clover Food & Drink and Bicycle Craft Brewery are teaming up to present Women in Industry, an inspiring dinner and craft beer pairing that features a team of Ottawa’s most talented chefs.
Event co-founder and Bicycle co-owner, Laura Behzadi explains how the celebration has grown: “We’re very excited to be partnering with these amazing chefs from Ottawa again this year! This event has grown from a one-off dinner to a true celebration of the community and the hard working women in it.”
Now in its third year, the seven (!) course meal and beer pairing celebrates International Women’s Day by highlighting an incredible group of local talents:
- Kat Ferries of Stofa
- Marysol Foucault of Edgar
- Natali Harea of Nat’s Bread Co
- Maria Henao & Robin Lavigne of Red Apron
- Holly Laham of Corner Peach
- Patricia Larkin of Buchipop
- West de Castro of Clover
- Laura Behzadi of Bicycle Craft Brewery
- Liz Mok of MooShu
- Pascale Bethiaume of Pascale’s Ice Cream
This year the proceeds support the Elizabeth Fry Society of Ottawa, an organization that supports and advocates for local women who are criminalized or may become criminalized.
Every year, Bicycle brews a special beer to commemorate the event, “We will be releasing our annual feminist brew, Freedom Machine Cherry Pale Ale which we brew once a year in celebration of International Women’s Day,” says Behzadi.
“Brewed with piles of dark organic cherries and plenty of flavourful, fruity hops, this is a beer to celebrate with. Expect an amazing cherry colour and flavour, a big double dry hopped aroma and refreshing fruity finish. The perfect beer to raise a glass to you and the women in you life!”
Great food and beer supporting a great cause!
