On these frost bitten winter days, we residents of Ottawa deserve something to look forward to, like, a huge St Patrick’s Day party at Lansdowne’s Aberdeen Pavillion hosted by Beau’s Brewery. This is the first year the brewery is celebrating this Irish holiday, but based on the success of their Oktoberfest festivities, this should be a successful and worthwhile event.
Beau’s is partnering with the Irish Society of Ottawa to celebrate this Emerald Isle holiday on March 19th, starting at noon. It’s a family friendly event: Tickets are $29 for adults (19 and up); $5 for children (under 18). Anyone under the age of 19 must be accompanied by an adult. Adult tickets include a beer ticket and OC Transpo transportation.
Chef Bruce has prepared a menu inspired by Irish tradition (which probably includes potatoes) and has suggested beer pairings for each meal. Speaking of beer, there will be 12 Beau’s brews on tap plus guest taps. Obviously Strong Patrick will be making an appearance. No word on the controversial green food colouring…
Warm up with hearty foods and strong drink but stay loose for the stein-holding competition and dance skill showcase.
If you’re an experienced Beau’s Oktoberfester, you already know that it’ll be a good time. Plus you can reuse that little green hat!
Beau’s St. Patrick’s Party is happening on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 12 – 9pm at Lansdowne’s Aberdeen Pavilion. More details and updates will be available here, including online ticket sales.
