This Sunday is 6/13!!!
And just like that, it is June. I hope that this Roundup finds you all healthy and safe after the ending of the last stay-at-home order. As I write this, there is no significant indication of what the next couple of weeks will look like, in terms of reopening Ontario, so welcome to another inevitable state of in-between, friends!
After a short week, we have arrived at what looks to be yet another nice weekend! Things are opening up a bit here in Ottawa and we can finally do things like see friends (outdoors, and at a distance), kick a ball around the soccer field, or play a few rounds of golf. There are also some other events taking place this weekend and Apt613 has the details for you below.
After a week of hot weather, it feels like we’ve finally hit summer (and with that, I’m sure I’ve jinxed the weather for the long weekend—sorry folks!).
After what seemed like neverending rain, cool weather, and grey skies, the sun is finally out and it looks like it will be sticking around and bringing warmer temperatures this weekend. While we may still be in lockdown mode here in Ottawa, this is a chance to get outside and enjoy our beautiful city, keeping safely away from others. The virtual events, which have become the norm, are in shorter supply, but there is still plenty to do to turn your mood around and we’ve got some great ideas to help get your weekend started.
Despite the recent ugly temperatures, the tulips are putting on their annual spring show for us, so the only mood in Ottawa right now can be hopeful! I’m channeling hopefulness this weekend, friends, as we face another one in lockdown, but inching closer to warmer weather, herd immunity, and that sweet, sweet freedom of the red zone!
If the tulips springing up around town are any indication then there’s some truth to the old saying that April showers bring May flowers.
After a very confusing week of both snowfall and cherry blossoms, we have found ourselves back here, friends: Staying at home and trying to fill the space! I won’t lie, the thought of more online events makes my eyes blur, but the longer we stay home, and stay safe, the more rewarding it will be […]
We are under stay-at-home orders for yet another weekend here in Ottawa and, while we are not able to go out on the town like we once were, there are still ways to make the most of the weekend while staying safely indoors or adventuring in the outdoors while remaining close to home.
While given the current circumstances in regards to COVID-19, this weekend still brings entertainment.
It’s time for a long weekend roundup! The weather is all over the map but that’s never stopped us before.
Well 613ers, we have made it through a full year of pandemic-style living, and this pretty little city of ours just keeps on keeping on. The weather has taken a major turn for the better, so despite the shifting restrictions of the red zone, we can enjoy ourselves a little bit in the valley this […]
It has been a long winter and this weekend we celebrate the arrival of spring, sunny skies, and above-zero temperatures. Whether you’re eager to get outside or you’re keen to stay home, we’ve some fun ideas as to how to make the most of your time this weekend.
We’ve come a long way since our Weekend Roundup: social distancing edition was published around this time last year. This weekend, let’s focus on the positives… there’s a lot!
It seems like March has stumbled in like a lamb despite the cold temperatures, and while I have no real idea what that means, I do know that we are just one week closer to real Spring.
